Retro crafts like punch needle and latchhook are seeing a surge in popularity. Punch needle is a type of rug hooking using yarn on a foundation cloth of cotton or linen. With this technique you can make wall hangings, pillow covers, pouches, rugs, and more! In this Basic Punch Needle workshop, you will make a small wall hanging using an embroidery hoop and the punch needle technique. Participants will take home all supplies, and be able to use the punch needle for future projects. The project is simple and small enough to complete duriing the class. We hope you get hooked!
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Fiber artist Becky Yates has lived in Ithaca with her family for 10 years. A self-taught artist, she
enjoys sewing, macrame, and latch hook, but punch needle rug hooking is where she has found
her soulcraft. She opened her Etsy shop Modern Punch in February 2018 and is looking forward
