Yin yoga is a slow moving, meditative, restorative practice. Expect stillness and to quiet your mind while moving mindfully and slowly. Poses are generally held for 3-5 minutes and target specific areas of the body. Yin yoga helps to massage the fascia, relieve muscle tightness, strengthen the joints, calm the mind from external stressors, and center the body - just to name a few! Props are encouraged and used in almost every asana. No experience necessary. Props are provided. Students are encouraged to bring a bolster pillow, though not required.
